Things to know about Emily
- She could do a Fats Domino impression at the age of 6 (Blueberry Hill)
- She eats red peppers like other people eat apples
- She is left handed, but can't tell her left from her right so not sure how she knows that
- She's been writing songs since she was 13
- She was knocked over by her own front door and darned near swept out to sea by the massive flood in Boscastle in August 2004, which made her look at her life in a whole new way
- She once owned a psychopathic gerbil
- Her favourite sandwich is Marmite and Philadelphia Cheese
- She thinks the best place to get inspiration for songs is standing on the cliffs near Boscastle, whatever the weather

- She has 9 Distinctions in Performing Arts from Cornwall College, Cornwall
- She played in lots of clubs when she lived in London (so it probably WAS her you saw that time at the Kashmir Club, Purple Turtle, Moriarty's...)
- She worked in the Battersea Dog's Home and kept trying to adopt the dogs
- She has a strange Crocodile Dundee-like way of taming animals (didn't work on the gerbil though)
- Morgie, a good friend taught her rhythm.He died a while ago but his inspiration will always be with her
- Her first gig after the flood that pushed her back into singing was Womad at the Eden Project. She got a standing ovation
